What is TriPass Standard and Premium? What is the difference?

TriPass (Standard and Premium) is digital tourist card that provides you the very best sides of Istanbul, (Topkapi Palace Tour, Bosphorus Cruise, Vialand Theme Park etc.) while saving you so much money (up to 75%) and time.
TriPass Standard is valid for 3 days, Premium is valid for 5 days. They get activated after the first use at an attraction and expire automatically at the end of chosen duration. The content is same in both TriPass Standard and Premium.

How does TriPass work?

1. Select the type of your pass that suits you best (Standard, Premium and Build Your Own)
2. TriPass Standard is valid for 3 days, Premium is valid for 5 days.
3. Purchase your TriPass online and your digital pass will be ready to use immediately. We accept VISA and MasterCard.
4. You can take your Public Transportation Card from our staff at Topkapi Café before Topkapi Palace Tour.
5. Your pass will be activated after your first use at an attraction and it will automatically expire at the end of your chosen duration.
6. TriPass Standard & Premium gives you only once free entrance per museum, attraction or sightseeing tour. (Discounts may be used more than once).
7. Always check the opening hours of museums and attractions, especially on national & public holidays and during low season.
8. To use your TriPass Card, always be ready to show it to the staff at the kiosk or the entrance of the museum or attraction.
9. Please note that TriPass and Public Transportation card is non-refundable in case you lose or do not use it.

How does Build Your Own Pass work?

1. With BYO Pass, you can select the attractions and services in advance and visit them over 60 days.
2. Purchase your BYO Pass online and it will be ready to use immediately. We accept VISA and MasterCards.
3. Your BYO Pass will be activated after the purchase and expire in 60 days.
4. Always check the opening hours of museums and attractions, especially around national public holidays and during low season.
5. Always be ready to show the QR code to the staff at the kiosk, or at the entrance to the museum or attraction.
6. Our Risk Free Guarantee gives you 30 days from your purchase date to return any non-activated passes for a full refund.

How does TriPass Lite work?

1. Subscribe to TriPass Lite and get it for free.
2. Show your discount/promotion code (Find it in “Use Your TriPass” in the app) to the cashier to get your discount/promotion for the selected spot.
3. You can use the discounts/promotions simultaneously for others in the family.
4. Discounts can be used more than once and for more than one person.

Do we have to use a different smartphone for each pass?

No, all the passes that you purchased (no matter how many you have) can be managed from the same smartphone.

Is there any benefit in buying TriPass now?

If you purchase TriPass now through this site then your digital pass will be sent to you via email and can be downloaded to TriPass Mobile App.

You can then start using your pass as soon as you arrive in the city. Each TriPass is valid for 12 months from the point of purchase.

Do I need to make reservations to enter attractions?

Some attractions/services may require reservations like Topkapi Palace Tour and Whirling Dervishes Show. This information is listed under each attraction’s page.

What are the normal costs of the attractions?

The entry costs for all attractions vary. To see how much you could save on normal entry costs, browse our attractions section and check out each attraction you would like to visit for their latest gate price.

Is the content same for TriPass Standard and Premium?

TriPass Standard is valid for 3 days, Premium is valid for 5 days, however the content is same.

How do I find out attraction opening and closing hours?

You can find the opening times and dates of all TriPass attractions on attraction page our website and online guidebook.

Can I visit the same attraction twice with my TriPass?

You can only visit each attraction included on TriPass once. Repeat entry is not allowed.

Are attractions open all year round?

Most Istanbul attractions are open all year round if there is no restoration. We advise you to check with attractions before visiting to avoid disappointment. To see the opening hours and dates for each attraction please check our attractions section or refer to your TriPass guidebook.

Can children visit attractions on their own?

When visiting attractions, children must be accompanied by an adult or may be refused admission.

Is TriPass suitable for those with disabilities and their carers?

Some attractions may offer carer places or free entry to visitors with disabilities, so TriPass might not be the most suitable for them as requirements vary from attraction to attraction. Please contact them directly for further information.

How much does TriPass cost?

How much does the Build Your Own pass cost?

Each Build Your Own pass is unique, which means prices vary depending on which attractions are added to your pass. The Build Your Own pass has its own line up of attractions which you can view here.

How much does TriPass Lite cost?

It is totally free. Get it and have great deals from the top spots (Shops, Restaurants, Café’s, Bars and Aesthetic Services) in the city and save lots of money!

What ages qualify for a children's pass?

Children under 5 do not require a Pass because it will be cheaper for you to pay the individual admission fees for them at each site than to buy a Pass. We recommend that you check the admission costs and policies of any attractions you will be visiting for children under 5.

What happens if I can’t/don’t use TriPass? Can I get my money back?

If you have bought from website and your plans change so you can’t use your passes, you are entitled to a free 30 day Money Back Guarantee from date of purchase.

Why haven't I received my email confirmation?

Your email confirmation should normally arrive in your inbox a few minutes after completing a transaction/purchase. If you haven't received an email confirmation then we recommend you check your spam filter or junk folder.

How can I find out how much time I have left on my TriPass?

You can check how much time you have left on your TriPass from “Manage My Pass”. You can also see what you have visited so far. In addition we will always be happy to help you from our Whatsapp support.

How long is my Build Your Own pass valid?

Once you've purchased a BYO pass, you'll have 60 days to use it.

How long is my TriPass Lite valid?

It is valid for 365 days after the subscription.

What happens if I change the date of my trip to Istanbul?

Your TriPass is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The card becomes active with the first use and becomes invalid automatically at the end of the usage period.
